JOB SUMMARY: The Director of Contracts provides corporate legal services to the National Trust in soliciting, negotiating, drafting, processing, administering, and enforcing contracts both directly through contracts managed by the Law Division’s Contracts Office and indirectly by giving advice and assistance to program managers who have the primary responsibility for establishing and maintaining contractual relationships. The Director of Contracts may also provide other general legal services to the organization as assigned. DUTIES: The Director of Contracts oversees and administers the National Trust’s contracts. The Contracts Office administers all procurement and income-producing contracts with a value of over $50,000. Contracts of $50,000 or less are generally administered directly by program offices; however, the Director of Contracts regularly provides advice and assistance for those contracts on an as-needed basis. The duties of the Director of Contracts include the following:
PAY & BENEFITS This is a full-time, exempt level position, eligible for full benefits, including health, dental and life insurance, retirement benefits, and 3+ weeks of vacation, plus sick time and holidays. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this and most other National Trust positions at our DC headquarters will continue to work remotely for the foreseeable future (currently projected through June 2021). Hiring Range: $80-95,000 per year
