Under minimal supervision from the Network Operations Manager and working with the Senior Systems Administrator, the Senior Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing the organizations Network Infrastructure utilizing industry best-practices.
Responsibilities include administration, testing, and problem resolution of the company’s Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN).
Knowledge of public and private cloud connectivity, local area networks (LAN’s), wide area networks (WAN’s), demilitarized zones (DMZ’s), wireless local area networks (WLAN’s), virtual private networks (VPN’s), Voice over IP (VoIP), and network monitoring systems.
Troubleshooting networking issues and escalating problems to vendors.
Manage, install, and maintain infrastructure hardware, software, security and connectivity.
Monitor hardware to ensure it is properly maintained and provide change of optimization recommendations.
Ability to create and resolve service request using our IT Service Management application Salesforce Service Cloud
Manage asset tracking for all hardware and software.
Administer and provide technical support for various networking software packages.
Maintain network performance utilizing network monitoring tools. (SolarWinds and OPSRAMP)
Perform maintenance of routers and switches.
Assist with Cisco, LAN, WAN, WLAN, Wifi, DMZ, VPN, and firewall technologies, as well as VoIP.
Maintain and improve Customer Satisfaction with prompt service and excellent communication.
Maintain and monitor system backups and check backup logs for any issues.
Maintain and document procedures for Service Desk and Network Operations.
Continuously strive to improve processes, service quality to internal and external customers, and employee relations.
Comply with the policies and procedures stated in the Injury and Illness Prevention Program
Support the Company’s Compliance and Safety programs by ensuring compliance with program policies and procedures.
Perform other network related duties as assigned by Manager of Network Operations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE DESIRED:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
CCNA, CCNP Enterprise, or CCIE Certification.
Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Network Administration.
Experience with routing protocols such as EIGRP and OSPF
Experience with Cisco Firepower and ASA firewalls
Experience with Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)
Experience with Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS)
Experience with securing and troubleshooting the Wireless Network Infrastructure
Implement Quality of Service in Wireless Networks
Knowledge of Policy-Based Routing
Experience with Google Cloud Routers
Experience with establishing and maintaining Site-to-Site VPN
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve end-user problems with computers and connectivity.
HIPAA and HITRUST Compliance experience.
Knowledge of SD-WAN
Linux system administration experience highly desirable.
Requires frequent use of hands, handling of network related tools, objects, and controls. Occasionally required to reach/stretch with hands and arms, frequent standing, walking, climbing stairs and occasionally ladders, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling either under desks or behind server racks as required. Maintenance duties may potentially require extended periods of walking or standing and associated activity. Occasionally may require ability to lift network equipment that could weigh upwards 50 lbs. After hours support and weekend support as needed is a requirement of the position.
