The architectural designer/architect will create plans, drawings, and layouts for remodeling, additions, and new construction. This job includes meeting with clients to discuss a project’s requirements and budget, creating layouts that fit within those requirements and budget, and ensuring that the drawings comply with regulations. The architectural designer/architect should have the creativity to find new ways to design buildings, the technical skill to utilize CAD software, and the communication skills to deal with clients and colleagues alike.
Responsibilities and Duties
Produce CAD drawings, detailed construction documents, and renderings to develop specific and precise designs using Revit
Perform dimensional and routine calculations for drawings and design layouts
Ensure that all layouts and blueprints meet the required codes and legal standards.
Collaborate with designer(s) to establish design schedule
Review drawings to ensure adherence to HDB quality and standards
Undertake, prioritize, and concurrently service multiple design projects from concept to completion
Work closely with the client to determine his or her goals and requirements for the project including counseling customers regarding how their selections affect the budget
Maintain customer satisfaction throughout the project
Make site visits to check on project status
Place orders for supplies and materials
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
3 + years work experience in the field of residential architecture
Highly proficient in Revit
Must be proficient in putting together complete and accurate drawing sets with great attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to clearly communicate a vision
Strong time management and multi-tasking skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities, deadlines, and schedules
Work collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation
