This role will work closely with the regulatory and client services teams within COLM, as well as business partners from various business units across the Bank, to ensure that COLM client data is fit-for-purpose for regulatory reporting and downstream consumer use. Responsibilities include:
Detailed analysis of existing data, including review of critical data elements, data quality rules, and data controls
Development and application of standards, policies, and procedures that support the ongoing implementation and maintenance of the data governance policy within the business
Establishing standard methodologies for critical data element identification, validation of business data quality rules, monitoring metrics/Key Performance Indicators, and data quality issue management
Using knowledge and expertise of data to identify and implement improvements and efficiencies throughout the data review process
Continually assess and identify risks in line with the business, ensuring they are mitigated and accounted for within the data governance program
Developing and enforcing data quality rules and metrics outside of the data warehouse, including delivering status updates and highlighting key issues via critical metric dashboards
Monitoring and tracking data quality issues, identifying gaps, and implementing remediation plans where data fails to meet the required standards
Ensuring alignment of the COLM data governance program to the larger CS/IB data governance frameworks

Detailed understanding of data governance and data management principles
Proven experience in managing large data sets
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Alteryx, Tableau, Collibra, and Business Objects!
Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills!
Self-motivated and able to handle tasks with minimal supervision; flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, ambiguity and shifting priorities
Ability to analyze complex situations and derive workable actions
Ability to constructively challenge requirements and current state
