Wyoming Valley Country Club is the fifth oldest course in PA and 45th in the United States. The original 9-hole course was officially chartered in 1896. In 1924, A.W. Tillinghast was selected to construct 15 new holes and redesign 3 holes from the original layout to what is now the current 18-hole course. The club's location was selected for its scenic beauty and its easy accessibility to Wilkes-Barre, PA.
