Responsible for all duties involving the maintenance, operation, and management of the Resort's golf course.
Supervise maintenance and any development or construction taking place on the golf course.
Render professional advice, opinions, assistance, and services to the Club Manager.
Supervise maintenance and repair of equipment.
Develop and implement both long term and short term plans to achieve departmental goals.
Develop annual budgets for golf course maintenance operations.
Handle all human resource functions of department including: interviewing applicants, coordinating with assistant on disciplinary issues.
Oversee and participate in all activities undertaken by Assistant Superintendent.
Ensure that all aspects of golf course maintenance are operating within all federal, state, and local guidelines and regulations.
Develop and institute pesticide and fertilization programs.
Develop and maintain good rapport with guests, members, fellow employees and neighbors to facilitate effective communication about sensitive subjects (construction, pesticide usage, noise complaints, etc.).
Maintain open line of communication with Golf Pro Shop about relevant information (cart path rules, frost delays, etc.).
Must have or be able to obtain valid N.C. Ground Pesticide Applicator's License and Drivers License
