This position requires a highly skilled designer who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment and can quickly develop innovative solutions and prepare concept drawings for fast-paced hospitality and restaurant design projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares design and construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
Demonstrates a strong balance of technical expertise and conceptual design skills.
Work on architectural assignments, which may include drafting and design development, also including correcting and updating drawings.
Experience in all project phases from concept to construction.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, working with staff and clients.
Completes architectural design projects on time and meet expectations.
Work in all phases of project development including design, production, and permitting.
Prepares, reviews and approves submittals, correspondence, change orders and shop drawings. Completes and maintains project files.
Performs field surveys and gathers pertinent information required to accomplish design and construction drawings.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed to Perform this Role:
Must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and 3-5 years commercial project experience
Experience in working on Hospitality projects such as Fast Food, Fast Casual Restaurants, Bars, Night Clubs, Casinos and Hotels as well as Residential Projects.
Ability to understand and interpret codes and evaluate project proposals and projects under construction to verify conformance with code requirements.
Proficiency in AutoCAD software.
Produces documents and reports using a database, spreadsheet, presentation and various software.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Works well in a team environment.
