Associate's Degree in Theatre or related field required. Minimum of three years professional experience in Theatrical design and/or technology, scenic construction, operating stage lighting, and sound equipment or experience in a related field. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered. Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties: This full-time staff member, working primarily in the Department of Dance, serves as a member of the College of Arts and Media production team. The purpose of the position is to provide support for all dance theatre productions, including student crew supervision, design and technical theatre support (primarily in lighting and sound design), maintenance of the inventory of equipment, scheduling production meetings/calendars, and other coordinated production assignments for events in theatre, opera, and film as needed. Must be student-focused and committed to collaborative production assignments and process. Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only): Serve as a member of the College of Arts and Media production team. Assist in the coordination of the CAM production calendar and meetings. Supervise student crews and contribute collaboratively to all design and technical theatre elements in the Dance Theatre, including undergraduate, graduate, faculty, and guest artist productions. Maintain stock supplies and inventory for the Dance Theatre and provide instruction for the safe use of all equipment in that space. Work with the CAM production team to support production activities across the college as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned.
