Job Description SUMMARY/SCOPE OF POSITION: Responsible for performing system engineering for automation process control projects based on programmable controllers, drives, motor control centers, operator/field device, instrumentation, etc. Works on project assignments that are dependent upon the Job Level (moderate to complex projects). Designs, defines and implements complex system requirements for customers and/or prepares studies and analyzes existing systems. Determines system specifications and coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system. This includes system design, system engineering, hardware engineering, programming and factory testing. Identifies, analyzes and resolves program support deficiencies. Develops and recommends corrective actions. Be a contributing part of a project team but also responsible to lead and review all assigned engineering team and their assigned tasks for a project. Assign tasks, monitor performance, review results, coordinate efforts, and track hours usage on project. Prepare and organize assigned projects and work closely with the Project Manager to maintain and lower project costs, while providing the highest level of quality. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Functional -
Analyzes customer's requirements to determine the optimal process control system solution and determines applicable control configuration/architecture -
Performs conceptual process control systems design, determination of process control system strategy, design of assembled programming -
May provide on-site process control system start-up as required. -
May require to work on project cost estimates and proposals Leadership -
Plan, schedule, coordinate and monitor resources for projects including WBS development, setting and managing time-scales and budgets. -
Lead technical discussion, engineering plan, FAT, SAT with customer -
Cost reduction through process & manufacturing improvement, and through development of reusable engineering or engineering standard. -
Provide verbal and written reports to communicate project status as required and contribute to project review meetings. -
Visit internal/external panel manufacturing facilities to assess progress, provide technical assistance and for final inspection and sign off. Interpersonal -

Minimum of 10+ years related control systems application experience. -
Experience of control system applications throughout the project lifecycle from initial design concepts through to installation and subsequent client support -
Preferred Life Science, Chemical industry application experience. -
Previous use of SAP and IFS business systems. -
Experience with MS Office software products Excel, Word, Project, Visio, etc. -
Previous use of Application Code Manager or other types of Standard Code Development environments. -
Previous use of Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk software. -
Possesses automation systems application/technical knowledge relevant to assigned business team. -
Must be able and willing to work at customer sites, including industrial plants, ships, etc., which may require climbing, working in confined spaces and other unusual work environments. -
Must be available and willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays to meet customer project commitments. -
Must have excellent conflict resolution skills. -
