Essential Responsibilities
The Golf Course Superintendent is entrusted with the maintenance, operations, and management of the golf course. The Golf Course Superintendent carefully manages the maintenance inputs to the golf course while conserving and protecting natural resources. He or she directly influences the playing areas and landscapes with which golfers interact.
Manages subordinate supervisor(s), and their employees in the Maintenance Department. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring; ensuring proper training of employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints; resolving problems and when necessary terminating employees in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
