| The City of Gainesville's Parks, Recreation & Cultural Affairs department is now hiring for a Parks Maintenance Worker 4 at Depot Park to provide support to our team in the management and maintenance of the City's parks. Tasks to be performed may include but not be limited to: Overseeing field operations involving landscape maintenance, facility maintenance and minor construction activities within Depot Park; providing leadership and knowledgeable guidance to crew members; performing skilled trail, grounds, irrigation and landscaping work including, including but not limited to, pruning or trimming vegetation and trees, pulling weeds, mowing, spraying or applying herbicide and fertilizer, raking or blowing leaves, edging curbs, loading trimmings onto truck, picking up trash, blowing or sweeping debris off parking lots and pathways, and monitoring and repairing irrigation. Utilizing a specialized knowledge of trees, shrubs, bedding plants and horticultural practices. Operating motorized equipment such as utility vehicles, trucks, mowers, tractors, front-end loaders, backhoe trucks, dump trucks, and trailers used to transport materials and equipment to maintain park grounds and other areas as assigned; Operating other equipment as required.
