Business Description: WeCare Group is looking for 2 full-time Optometrists for our private practices, Westminster Eyecare Associates in Providence, RI and Smithfield Eye & Optical in Greenville, RI. Scope: Practicing Full Scope Medical and Refractive Optometry Location: Rhode Island is an excellent area to put down roots as you build your career professionally while enjoying a great work-life integration. The region sits on the Coast of the Atlantic Ocean which is a significant draw for discovering our many beaches such as Newport, Block Island, Narragansett, Westerly, Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket. The region is also fortunate enough to have one of the best culinary universities in the country, Johnson & Wales, which translates into top-notch and nationally ranked restaurants. Providence Performing Arts Center is the perfect venue for Broadway shows and concerts. The Dunkin' Donuts Center features excellent college basketball, college hockey, auto shows, home shows, COMICON, wine and beer festivals, and A-list performing artists. Finally, the college scene is extremely impressive with Brown University, Providence College, and the Rhode Island School of Design to name a few. Clinical Competencies: Medical and routine office visits, complex contact lens fits, prescribing glasses and contact lenses, prescribing medicine to treat eye disease, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, and other complex eye disease cases, co-management with the region’s top ophthalmologists. Interpretation and reporting of diagnostic testing including Optomap, OCT, VF, topography, pachymetry, corneal hysteresis, meibography, retinal and anterior segment photography. Specialty Contact fitting/services. Administrative Responsibilities: Efficient and effective in completing medical records in a timely fashion/basic computer skills/EMR familiarity Culture/Leadership/Teamwork: Living our Gold Service Standards, training sessions with staff as necessary, team meetings, participation in work events and charities Production Expectations: To be determined by Management Communication Essentials: Excellent Social Skills/Elegance/Nice to deal with and be around/speaks clearly/keeps the communication positive with colleagues and patients at all times/constructive feedback Continuing Education: Meet all required state standards for COPE approved hours of continuing education Compensation: $130K base salary with opportunities to make an additional $150,000+ based on your goals and patient volume comfort.
