The USC Academic Records and Registrarâs Office is seeking a Senior Scheduling Coordinator to join our team within the Classroom Scheduling unit. This role oversees the planning, organization and delivery of classroom scheduling services. The Senior Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for the assignment of 218 general-use classrooms and special events for the university. The Senior Scheduling Coordinator is also responsible for project planning, development, implementation, and classroom utilization needs in the event of an emergency on campus.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Creating and maintaining the inventory of general-use classrooms in the Student Information System and Ad Astra.
Supervising two full-time staff of the Classroom Scheduling office.
Managing and directing activities for Ad Astra Room Scheduling and course file updates.
Creating the class schedule production calendar, utilizing Ad Astra optimizer and analytical tools.
Developing and maintaining final exam scheduling.
Representing the Registrarâs Office in meetings pertaining to technology in classrooms, room utilization, and construction projects.
Serving as primary user liaison with Ad Astra, reporting and tracking technical issues and testing upgrades.
Conducting periodic inventory of the general-use classrooms to identify any changes to classrooms and making appropriate recommendations to Facilities Services.
Maintaining open and effective communication with academic and administrative offices to ensure that the work of the office is accomplished efficiently and effectively.
Communicating with the Provostâs Office regarding planning renovation and technology upgrade projects.
When fully-staffed with a Senior Scheduling Coordinator and two full-time staff, the Classroom Scheduling Office operates at maximum efficiency. Candidates with classroom scheduling experience are encouraged to apply. This position reports to the Articulation Officer for the Registrarâs Office.
