Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
Job Summary: The Furnishings and Design Assistant acts as the furniture procurement facilitator for capital construction projects and is responsible for the management of the UA chair lab. This position works under limited supervision to accomplish a variety of complex tasks in the Furnishings and Design department and serves as the workflow supervisor for the Upholstery shop.
Additional Department Summary: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: management of the UA chair lab; assist the department's Accountant II in maintaining financial data, and placing orders for all furniture for UA construction projects in a timely manner and within complete compliance with the UA purchasing guidelines.
Required Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or the equivalent and three years of general office experience, or a Bachelor's degree.
Skills and Knowledge: Basic knowledge of ergonomics.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in demonstrating or presenting to groups.
