Leads project operations in delivering LM2’s highest quality of construction services from preconstruction through post-construction and warranty period. Overall responsibility for the effectiveness of Operations will be to work closely with the General Superintendent Field Operations to ensure field and project management are delivering the highest quality of services to our clients.
Leads Operations in understanding and applying LM2’s policies, procedures and core values to accomplish the following:
Assists operational leaders with the development of strategies to maximize the effectiveness of field staff, processes, procedures, and systems to ensure LM2 is on the cutting edge.
Proactively evaluates future Field Operations by soliciting feedback from associates, management, and external constituents. Analyzes trends and best practices in the industry and uses data to lead company initiatives.
Develops organizational structure by evaluating current and upcoming project load, staffing needs, and structuring the organization to maximize resources and performance.
Manages staffing to ensure optimal coverage of projects, including strategies to hire the best and brightest talent including future succession planning.
Partners with operational leadership to lead implementation of training and development of associates, including future paths for career advancement.
Relationships/Communication/Meetings: Guides project operations to build and maintain superior relationships with Owners, Architects, Trade Partners, Suppliers and Associates through actively communicating regularly with all involved parties regarding project plans, status of the project, upcoming activities, and open issues. Provide guidance to project operations in all aspects of project-related meetings.
Problem Resolution: Guides field managers to resolve complex and/or difficult situations on projects.
Schedule Management: Guides project operations to manage schedule to ensure projects remain on or ahead of schedule.
Assists operational leaders with project Close-Out, guiding project operations to ensure a successful process.
Guides field operation managers participating in the pre-construction process. Works closely with the Preconstruction Manager and/or Estimating Lead to develop field management associates to accomplish associated pre-construction activities.
Guides Field Management to develop strong relationships with Architects, Design Teams and Clients.
Leadership and Development
Leads overall field staffing and chargeability with support from General Superintendent and Project Superintendents.
Leads recruiting efforts to identify and recruit qualified candidates to fulfill field staffing needs with assistance from Human Resources and President.
Ensures high-performing field operations through effective development and retention of associates.
Communicates regularly with field associates regarding expectations, goals, and performance, including career conversations, performance and consistent feedback throughout the year.
Seeks feedback and input from associates to improve leadership skills, processes and policies.
Leads field performance management process for overall project operations by: communicating expectations, performance feedback, reviews, recognition, and disciplinary matters.
Strategy: Assists General Superintendent with assigning and developing field management associates capable supporting pursuit strategies.
Proposals: Assists Marketing and Project Development with assigning and developing field management capable of supporting proposal development (Site Logistics, Safety, Etc.).
Interviews: Assists Directors of Operations and Project Development with assigning and developing field management associates for project interviews.
Develop field management to develop and maintain relationships with clients, architects, design team members and trade partners by communicating regularly to ensure excellent relationships.
Community / Industry Involvement: Actively participates in one or more of the following:
Community Associations: Actively participates in community associations to contribute to the overall community, promote the company, and build networks.
Professional Associations: Actively participates in professional associations to further develop industry expertise, contribute to the overall construction industry, promote the company, and build networks.

Profit and Loss
Guides field operations to develop and manage budgets in coordination with the project team, including strategies to position the company to enhance fee opportunities (i.e. self-perform, warehouse support, etc.) on assigned projects.
Guides field operations to ensure strategies are implemented and tracked throughout the lifecycle of the project.
Guides field operations to ensure projects are completed and successfully closed out to prevent fee erosion.
Reviews projection reports prepared by project operations staff and attend monthly project review meetings. Assists with preparing project reports for the management team. Consults with project teams to provide technical advice and resolve technical issues.
Provides input to field operations to foresee issues and critically analyze potential risks guiding the team to establishing a plan to eliminate or reduce risk.
Guides field operations to thoroughly analyze potential risks and leads the team in establishing a plan to eliminate or minimize risks.
Guides field operations to manage difficult or emotional situations.
Works closely with supporting departments (Safety, QA/QC, MEP, Warehouse, IT, Accounting, Etc.).

Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, related field or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated success leading multiple project teams, and/or large complex projects, with highest of quality.
