Optimizing our enrollment management is crucial to IUPUI's long-term viability, as there are several factors that influence a student's college choice, student success, retention and timely graduation. The Division is comprised of full-time staff in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, Office of Student Financial Services, Office of the Registrar, Office for Veterans and Military personnel, Office for Enrollment Strategy and Insights as well as other areas supporting strategic initiatives, outreach and partnerships, technology and administrative support. The Division of Enrollment Management also oversees and provides insight for its enrollment operations for its Fort Wayne and Columbus campuses.

Responsibilities for this role span across enrollment management opportunities, insights, strategies, and marketing efforts. The position is entrepreneurial and designed to bridge and create meaningful and measurable competitive advantage specifically focused on the Office of Student Financial Services. Primary role is to develop standards and best practices in the implementation of communication strategies using key enterprise systems developed to automate and customize communications.
Currently no direct reports. Possibility of interns or hourly employees in the future.
Department Specific Responsibilities:
Manages projects to implement new or changes to existing configurations related to CRM at IUPUI. Develop standards and best practices in the implementation of communication strategies using key enterprise systems developed to automate and customize communications. Conduct effective communications with co-workers and teams; collaborate with the Office of Student Financial Services as an ESI subject matter expert. Design and conduct needs assessment, provide assistance with conceptualization and construction of communication campaigns, translate functional needs into system capabilities and adapt business practices that best utilize system and program features. Acquire and maintain knowledge of related student information systems and data. Provides oversight on security requirements and ensures communications are developed and implemented to only target recipients.
Provides active communication with campus stakeholders by providing status reports, updating issues logs, providing timelines, etc. Actively provides guidance on best practices across all campuses, etc. Provides training, expert guidance, and assistance to campus staff as necessary to successfully accomplish objectives. Design and implement an assessment plan to gauge effectiveness of the strategy; gather and analyze system campaigns and constituent feedback to provide recommendations for improvement.
Provide leadership for the implementation of CRM software for IUPUI DEM offices. Develops a comprehensive understanding of system integration and data requirements. Identifies and resolves dependency and integration issues across module areas.
Promotes the sharing of knowledge and expertise among the campuses; consults and collaborates with customers to analyze their needs and to identify acceptable business solutions. Directs the preparation of business solution proposals, including specifications, milestones, resource needs, and timelines. Communicates with customers on an on-going basis regarding status of requests.
Works with Help Desk and Training teams to provide information and timing for training materials, communications, and other change management efforts. Reviews team deliverables if appropriate. Partners with the Help Desk and Training leaders to ensure goals/deadlines are met.
Analyzes new releases/upgrades, develops and modify business and system processes, establishes and/or modifies security profile; develops testing plans and performs testing to validate new releases of the CRM product which may include new enhancements, patches, updates, fixes and major/minor upgrades. Tests integration with SIS.
Ensures database integrity by coordinating, logging, and/or monitoring more advanced data exchanges; assists in creating and running database reports using report writing tools; assists in updating and maintaining database.
Assists users with escalated database questions and provides support on database or data access issues; consults with users on data reporting needs and assists in developing new data reporting queries.
Often provides guidance and acts as a lead for data entry and/or data coordination activities or projects.
Reviews, tests, and executes database queries to check data accuracy and integrity.
Assists database developers with implementing upgrades, modifications, etc.
Adheres to and ensures compliance with established policies and procedures related to data management.
Documents testing results and any issues discovered; implements basic resolutions/fixes.
Coordinates and may assist in data entry and coding of data in preparation for computer processing; records, cleans, and manipulates data in preparation for analyses and interpretation; assists in compilation of the results and in preparation of reports and analyses of data.
Assists in the training of new staff on database access and reporting.
Degree in information technology related field
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Informatics or a closely related field.
2 years of database software or related experience
Experience in resolving highly complex integration issues involving multiple technologies and business areas.
Experience with Salesforce CRM solutions

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
