The University Program Associate reports to the Director of Planning Design and Construction. Primary responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
Provide administrative support for the Planning Design and Construction team, provide customer support, and maintain business accounts, records, and data.
Facilitate the flow of materials for project processes and submittals for committees and boards including the UNC Charlotte Board of Trustees, NC Office of State Construction, UNC System Office, State Property Office, among others.
Input data in databases that include ARCHIBUS, Capital Renewal and Deferred Maintenance website, NC State Construction InterSCOPE website, Banner, and 49er Mart.
Schedule meetings, arrange travel, process invoices and general office management to ensure efficient operation of the department.
Minimum Experience / Education:
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. University Preferred Qualifications:
Graduation from a four year college or university and two years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Preferred Education Skills and Experience:
Graduation from a four-year college or university and three years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Minimum of five years' experience in an administrative position with program specific responsibilities.
Experience working in a team environment.
Experience in office management.
Ability to effectively communicate the English language (reading, writing, interpretation and comprehension).
Effective skills in verbal, written and interpersonal communications, however excellent communication skills are preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint software.
Ability to effectively work/interact with persons from different backgrounds and cultures.
Ability to foster and create an atmosphere of teamwork with co-workers, visitors, building occupants, and the entire campus community.
This position may operate assigned vehicles on and off campus, therefore, must have or obtain a valid driver's license upon appointment to the position.
