Our team is seeking a Chicago-based business development or sales professional with a background in commercial real estate, construction, or professional services. The role is entrepreneurial and has an element of performance-based compensation, so taking initiative, superior communication and drive are integral aspects of this position. The ideal candidate would have relationships within the commercial real estate community in Chicago. An understanding of construction can be learned. Role will work closely with Vice President of Business Development and CREW member, Lauren Kriner.
Establish and maintain relationships with the commercial real estate community in Chicago- namely retail and office brokers, developers, architects, designers, and engineers.
Schedule meetings with brokers or industry partners to obtain intel into activity within the local commercial real estate market and bring back to ownership.
Maintain a database of activity and opportunities, creating consistent reach out.
Bring in new opportunities for Project Managers to bid. National opportunities to be discussed as a whole and determine if it makes sense to pursue and which office will run point.
Meet internally with Project Management team to understand what is being bid, location, and what is a good opportunity or lead for the team to bid/pursue.
Assemble Request for Proposals (RFP’s) that the Chicago office is asked to participate in.
Send photos from Chicago team’s completed projects to Indy office for inclusion in email newsletter and social media.
Attend industry events within real estate organizations, such as CREW Chicago, NAIOP, BOMA, IREM, ULI, ICSC.
Proficient in web-based programs and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
High level of organizational skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to maintain relationships, remember faces and names, and represent the CCS brand with pride in the community
Willingness to get involved in organizations
Understanding of the industry
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
College degree not required but preferred. Business or Marketing degree an asset.
