The Associate Director of Organizational Analytics is responsible for strategic bench marking and data reporting that is used by the Dean's Office and other JGSB executive leadership for decision-making and direction setting purposes. This role is responsible for external data reporting and survey completion for publications and entities that rank and evaluate business schools.
This person will report to and work closely with the Sr. Director of Operations to organize, manage, and collect macro level data from the various JGSB faculty groups and operating departments and will assist with the administration of the data collection systems in each operating department. As the macro data repository manager for the school, this role will create ad hoc reports, conduct analyses, identify opportunities and trends and make recommendations as appropriate.

Works under self-initiated direction to assess and produces relevant, standard, or custom reports
Distributes and disseminates reports accordingly
Devises methods for identifying complex data patterns, trends in available information sources using a variety of qualitative and quantitative techniques
Determines and recommends additional data collection and reporting requirements
Designs and customizes reports based upon data in the database
Serves as a resource for non-routine inquiries such as requests for statistics or surveys
Leads the implementation of data standards and common data elements for data collection
Collaborates with technical staff to standardize and systemize routine reports, dashboards, and metrics
May test prototype software and participate in approval and release process for new software
Collects, compiles, and submits organizational data for ranking and survey publications annually
Performs all other duties as assigned
Experience and Education Requirements
5 years of professional administrative experience that includes some experience in benchmarking, data analysis and/or database management
In lieu of the experience requirement, additional related education, above and beyond what is required, on an equivalent year for year basis may be substituted
In-depth expert knowledge and experience using and applying analytical software, database management system software, database reporting software, database user interface and query software, and data mining software
Expert ability to collect data using a variety of methods, such as data mining and hardcopy or electronic documentation study, to improve or expand databases
Advanced statistical ability
Advanced demonstrated ability with Microsoft Excel in formulaic model creation and pivot tables
Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple activities in a deadline-oriented environment; highly organized, flexible and rigorous attention to detail
Ability to use logic to calculate data; efficiently construct a database or scrutinize the form of a question
Ability to work with data of varying levels of quality and validity
Demonstrated ability to produce data in a clear and understandable manner meeting user requirements
Ability to work effectively with multiple internal and external customers
Ability to take a leadership role on projects and with users / clients
Earned an advanced degree or certification in data analytics or related discipline
Demonstrated skill working with Tableau or other similar data visualization software platforms
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel VBA macro programing
