PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee, coordinate, and direct the activities of outside design professionals for project design development, preparation of final design documents, construction phase services, and construction and inspection operations. • Oversee, coordinate, and direct the activities of consultants and construction contractors to ensure conformance to contract documents and compliance with the Authority’s policies and procedures. • Conduct technical reviews and evaluations of designs, drawings, plans, specifications and technical reports for architectural and engineering design documents. • Conduct reviews and assemble contract documents and bid bidding documents for construction projects. • Monitor and inspect construction projects; evaluate construction claims and provide determinations of validity and fair pricing. • Coordinate project schedules, budgets, design, and construction activities with internal and external departments, outside regulatory agencies, Airport tenants, and user groups.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Four-year degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or closely related field. 
• Four (4) years’ experience in managing design and/or construction projects.
• Design and construction management experience within an airport environment preferred.       
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
