West Chester University of Pennsylvania Facilities Division invites applicants for the position of Temporary Custodial Summer Helper (Custodial Worker 1). This assignment is expected to run from mid-May through mid-August. The hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.

As a member of the Custodial Services Department, the Custodial Summer Helper will assist with the summer cleaning of the campus Residence Halls. The position will support the full-time custodial team with a variety of cleaning tasks including moving furniture, mopping floors, gathering supplies, vacuuming, extracting carpets, operating floor scrubbing equipment and applying floor finish.
No previous experience or training required
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to learn the operation and care of vacuum cleaners, scrubbing machines, polishing machines, and other janitorial equipment.
Ability to follow instructions and to exercise care in the use of cleaning materials.
