Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Annual Capital Projects as a member of the project management team within Planning, Design &Construction (PDC). This position provides MEP/FP/BAS oversight on all capital and non-capital renovation projects on the Charles River and Fenway campuses. Working with the Assistant Vice President and two Senior Project Managers and their respective project management teams, the Project Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support and act as an engineering resource for Building Systems and general construction design. They will assist with technical reviews of design documents to ensure that equipment and systems being proposed meet Boston University construction standards; monitor systems installations during construction; and conduct post construction acceptance of all MEP/FP/BAS systems before turn-over to Operations.

This position will work closely with the PDC project management team, external design and engineering firms, Facilities Management Operations (FMO), departmental building occupants and other internal / external stakeholders to achieve successfully completed projects and spaces which are comfortable, sustainable, and easily maintained.
