Indiana University East is accepting applications for a Associate Athletic Director (NAIA) (Sports Information Director) in the Athletics office. The Associate Athletic Director (NAIA) (Sports Information Director) will work collaboratively with the Director of Athletics.
Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Assistant Athletic Director will assist in all aspects of successful professional management of the Athletic Department, with the goal of increasing the profile of IU East athletics and enhancement of the student-athlete experience.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to: managing all website content and design, all marketing materials, and public communication documents for athletics (printed and web), managing all in-game statistical needs, as well as game recaps, game programs, scripts for PA announcer, in-game promotions, and overall coordination of in-game event management. Document all records and historical milestones.
Manage all media contacts and build relations with various local and regional outlets. Liaison to IU East media and marketing office for athletic communication, liaison with WCTV for broadcasts, and any use of TV studio.
Manage all video and broadcasting content, including hiring and staffing play-by-play broadcasters and video operators, table crews/press box staff.
Develop video content for the website. Assist in the development of a cohesive social media plan and execution. Manage all River States Conference and NAIA awards with nominations, as well as serve on IU East, River State Conference, and NAIA committees, when possible.
Other administrative duties as assigned
Complies fully with all NAIA, applicable athletic conferences, and Indiana University rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
Provides oversight and leadership of major administrative areas and department initiatives which may include sports administration and other key functions within the athletics department.
Directs and manages staff in implementing athletics operational goals and initiatives.
Responsible for policy development, budget planning, program evaluation, and implementing changes to improve efficiencies.
Advises management on certification/governance; stays abreast of changes in NAIA or applicable athletic conference legislation and evaluates programs accordingly.

Working Conditions / Demands
This position requires both sedentary work and long durations of movement about the workspace. It requires the ability to move and transport objects and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential tasks with or without an accommodation.
