POSITION TITLE: Tenant Coordinator, Tenant Coordination
LOCATION: Tysons Corporate Office
Position Description: This position is for an on-site Tenant Coordinator who will oversee Tenant and Landlord construction activity from initial lease negotiations to Tenant opening. Typical Tenant construction activity includes retail store, restaurant and office build outs at any of the buildings on the Tysons Corner Center Campus. The objective of the Tenant Coordinator will be to expedite Tenant openings by facilitating the design, permitting and construction processes. The Tenant Coordinator will report to the lead Tenant Coordinator for Tysons and will work closely with other departments including Property Management/Operations, Leasing and on-site Engineers.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist team lead in managing and directing Landlord construction projects.
- Develop solutions to design, permitting, and construction issues as they arise.
- Oversee and expedite construction activity from start of construction to store opening and project close out.
- Work closely with Design, Development, Construction, and Tenant Coordination departments as an on-site presence for varying aspects of construction, development, and design activity.
- Facilitate permitting and inspections for Landlord and Tenant construction projects.
- Understand and enforce Tenant Coordination processes, procedures, and standards as they relate to construction and tenant activity and in compliance with approved drawings. Monitor and enforce Tenant Criteria and Contractor Rules & Regulations.
- Read, decipher, and review Architectural and MEP drawings.
- Work closely with Leasing Managers to provide technical and on-site support to assist in deal preparation.
- Hold pre-construction meetings with General Contractors ahead of construction start.
- Work with team lead to establish conceptional budgets and schedules for tenant construction.
- Coordinate all tenant tie-ins to Landlord systems.
- Coordinate tenant schedules to ensure timely delivery of tenant spaces.
- Provide real-time reporting in Yardi for status of tenant projects.
- Monitor and report on construction schedule milestones.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Design, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience working as a Tenant Coordinator in the retail shopping center industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience in the facilities or construction industry.
