Manages and coordinates a major program or set of programs established to address a key area of specialized need within the university and the community. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to any or all of the following: program development and administration, budget development and management, program assessment, communications activities, liaising with internal and external constituencies and staff leadership and supervision.
Explains policies and procedures to advise and assist others, team, and/or management Oversees and guides process completion and related programs, policies and procedures for major programs and initiatives
Assesses current and future needs of the function and university and plans accordingly, establishing short- and long-term goals, objectives, budgets, operating procedures, etc.
Applies operational business practices and collaborates with other closely related areas/functions to improve efficiency of both the function and university
Establishes long-term plans and strategies for the function and provides input to those of the university
Coordinates resources and sets daily priorities to meet operational objectives and offset competing priorities
Leads and oversees programs/projects of a medium-sized scope (e.g., size, budget, time)
Uses judgment to identify, troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day technical and/or operational problems
Impacts the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team and its contribution to the Program and Project Administration function, recommending efficiencies that align with the organization and best practice
Explains information and changes, serving as the main point of contact and ensuring understanding both internally and externally
Conveys performance expectations and handles sensitive issues

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Master's degree or higher with experience working in a high school setting
