Summary
The Building Automation Tech installs, calibrate, maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and/or programs building automation and control systems, their associated devices, and various components pneumatic and/or digital not limited to sensors, actuators, relays, transducers, valves, variable frequency drives, controllers, etc. Specific expertise in Siemens APOGEE building automation system and Insight work stations required.
The Building Automation Tech troubleshoots electrical (low and high voltage) issues related to building automation and control systems and their associated devices and various components. Troubleshoot, tune, and commission building automation and control systems and various control loops. The Building Automation Tech understands and write various building automation and control systems programming language or logic. Understand and implement energy saving control strategies and sequences.
The Building Automation Tech integrates various building automation and control systems communication protocols not limited to Modbus, Lon, BACnet IP, BACnet ms/tp, ARCnet, N2, P1, etc. Troubleshoot building automation and control systems application, communication, and BACnet issues and coordinate with various information technology (IT) and network departments with IT related issues. Maintain remote alarm notifications. Maintain energy setbacks and scheduling. Maintain building automation and control systems backups.
The Building Automation Tech reviews constructions documents, perform inspections, and assist with commissioning as needed on new construction and renovation projects. Perform as a lead for more complex operations. Ensure vendors comply with safety guidelines.
This position is a Palm Beach Health Network position for the Tenet Palm Beach Group Facilities and clinical satellite buildings. Delray Medical Center (DMC), Good Samaritan Medical Center (GSMC) Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center (PBGMC), and West Boca Medical Center (WBMC).

Qualifications:EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience required to perform the job.
- High school diploma
- Four (4) years of appropriate experience in the procedures and methods for installing, repairing, and maintaining building automation systems (BAS), and accessories; appropriate vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience
PREFERRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION:
- Siemens Insight Master Operator
- Siemens PPCL Master Programmer
- Siemens Field Panel and FLN operations
