As the Project Manager, you will lead, manage and help expand our growing practice. Project work will require a focus on new and existing resort-oriented developments, comprehensive community master planning, site plan permits and approvals, and small area plans, as well as site-specific landscape architectural design. Project management and project specific team leadership is critical to this role.
What we are looking for . . .
Work with a team to develop community master planning for high-end international resort developments,
Manage large complex site development projects, develop design proposals, permit sets, project coordination from concept to construction administration, develop construction documents and construction administration,
Develop new client relationships; manage and maintain existing client relationships
Gather and document relevant data, regulatory aspects and physical conditions of study areas
Analyze, synthesize and document project influences
Prepare graphic narrative reports and presentations that clearly communicate the design process and concepts
Create coherent and compelling presentations
Apply the landscape architecture design process and advocate for important design principles
Interaction and collaboration with multidisciplinary team and mentoring of staff
Ability to remain calm and pleasant under pressure to maintain and foster a friendly team dynamic
Work closely with outside consultants to ensure communication of objectives and needs are clearly understood and carried out
Experience & Education
Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture and/or urban planning and design; Master’s a plus
Minimum 7 years’ experience in leadership/management role
Licensure or certification is preferred
Written and verbal proficiency in English
Excellent design, visualization and graphic skills- quality hand graphics a plus
Outstanding ability to verbally and graphically communicate design concepts
Knowledge of urban planning, zoning and technical issues
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite and Sketchup or Rhino
