Develop and deliver a growing suite of profitable education and other programs. Working with the VP Professional Development, manage development, budgeting, delivery, and evaluation of NIRI Annual Conference, Senior Roundtable Annual Meeting, seminars, webinars, on-demand courses, and other programs as developed.
As directed, produce, manage and coordinate education and other programs to meet the needs of investor relations professionals and the Investor Relations industry. This position is responsible for speaker and content management, as well as working collaboratively with various stakeholders on the marketing and execution of all learning programs, achieving the service, experience and financial objectives of the Institute.
In collaboration with the VP Professional Development, develop education programs content and recruit speakers, working with volunteers, sponsors, and other stakeholders as needed
Utilize the IR Competency Framework to guide the planning and development of programs
Design education and other programs using innovative techniques and learning methodologies
Manage event, speaker, and session databases, and maintain associated website content
Manage program evaluations, including analysis of attendance, ratings, speaker performance
Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries concerning program registration, professional development credits, and general education information
NIRI Annual Conference
Support all speaker and session processes, including:
Manage session and speaker submission processes
Support and track Annual Conference Committee’s work on content development
Coordinate speaker confirmation process to collect biographies/photos and confirm logistics
Update databases and web pages on a timely basis to ensure current information is available for internal and external use
Manage session agenda with NIRI meeting planning staff to ensure the schedule of events, rooms sets, logistics, and other meeting needs are aligned across NIRI and with third-parties (hotels, A/V service providers, etc.)
Collaborate as needed with program sponsors, volunteers, and other stakeholders
Manage registration processes, including serving as primary contact for registrant questions, cancellation requests, and other attendee needs
With relevant NIRI staff, manage pre- and post-event attendee communications
Onsite management of speakers and sessions, including:
Primary contact for all speakers
Liaison with speaker ready room
Ensuring room set and session A/V needs are fulfilled as expected
Seminars and Webinars
Support speaker and session processes including:
Develop agendas, collect and edit speaker biographies, and review materials for distribution to attendees
Evaluation of programs for topic relevance and speaker effectiveness
Recruit, confirm, and support speakers
Review speaker presentations and manage the production and web posting of materials
Manage registration process and all attendee communications pre- and post-event
Collaborate as needed with program sponsors, volunteers, and other stakeholders
Manage virtual program delivery, including:
Serving as host for webinars and other virtual programs
Managing virtual platforms, livestreams, and other technology to support live virtual programming
Providing live support for registrants during webinars and other virtual events
Support program marketing, including:
Making regular updates to the NIRI website for programs and events
Developing and managing periodic e-mail communications
Drafting event notices for IR Update Weekly
Reviewing and proofreading flyers, ads, and other marketing materials
Manage NIRI’s Learning Management System, including updating course pages, general troubleshooting, and providing user support
Bachelor's degree required
Five to seven years of professional association programs experience
Knowledge of adult learning theory
Experience in new learning methods and delivery methods
Excellent written and oral communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate with professionals at all levels
Excellent organizational, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated experience in technology systems and tools such as website content management systems, proficiency with basic HTML, member database systems (NetForum), Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Proficiency in Zoom and familiarity with other virtual event platforms and conferencing tools.
Comfort with technology and learning new systems. Ability to work with multiple systems and understand how they are integrated.
A self-starter with the ability to successfully manage many projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
An entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to innovate, create and discover new product services
Ability to travel as needed to manage conference and seminars as an on-site contact with speakers, attendees and hotel personnel
Experience in developing programs in investor relations, financial services, capital markets, financial communications, etc. is a plus.

This is a full-time, exempt position. NIRI’s work week is 37.5 hours. The traditional workweek is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m., with an hour for lunch. However, NIRI is a fully remote workplace, and team members may generally set their own regular hours but must be available to collaborate with others and respond to calls during the regular business day.
In the office, casual business attire is generally acceptable but formal business attire is required for certain meetings. A professional, polished presence is expected.
