General Sheet Metal (GSM) is seeking an Preconstruction Sales Manager in our Mechanical Division to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading our Mechanical Sales Team and providing preconstruction services and conceptual design assist. The position will also require a key focus on creating, cultivating, and maintaining relationships with customers both new and current.
Qualified candidates will have:
Minimum 5+ years required with sheet metal, HVAC, and/or construction background which includes 2 years of sales and 2 years of leadership experience.
Working knowledge on mechanical system operations.
Ability to provide high – level mechanical budgets.
Ability to accurately estimate mechanical scope of work.
Effective verbal and listening communication and seek to understand.
Desire and ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
Excellent diagnostic, analytical, problem-solving & decision-making skills with the ability to be creative and collaborative in approach.
Strong people & team building skills.
Attention to detail with proven history of accuracy and documentation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, email, excel spreadsheet, word processing, and Smartsheet.
