Work Conditions: Currently offering classes virtually; we anticipate offering live classes on campus in 2022
Duties of Position: Harper Safety Training is seeking candidates with specific experience in training materials development and training delivery for:Machine Guarding, and or Chemical Hazards in General Industry..
Development and delivery of training reflecting OSHA standards for:
Machine Guarding, and or, Chemical Hazards in General Industry
Develop and/or revise course materials with attention to current virtual instructional design principles to ensure attendee engagement, focus and information retention. (Materials include, presentation slides, photos, factsheets, checklists, guides, polling questions, and pre and posttests).
Conduct Safety Awareness training classes, with attention to any recent OSHA standard changes.
Classes are from 2 hours to 8 hours in length.
Collaborate with Harper staff in updating course material.
Demonstrate reliability and flexibility in supporting OSHA's grant requirements.
Educational Requirements:
Authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer (completed OSHA training, and in good standing).
Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety or related field and/or Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
Trained and proficient in MS Word; Powerpoint; Email and digital Calendar.
Additional Preferred Educational Background:
OSHA Certifications
Experience Requirements:
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience conducting training as an Authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer.
Specific experience in developing training reflecting OSHA Standards for either Machine Guarding or Chemical Hazards.
Experience in delivering Remote/Live training.
Experience in using a variety of training techniques to ensure remote learning is engaging and effective.
Manufacturing work experience
Additional Preferred Experience:
Experience using Webex for training delivery
Bi-Lingual (Spanish or other)
Experience in warehousing, metal fabrication, construction, or electrical industries
Safety Management experience
