A unique opportunity for the right candidate to hit the ground running and excel in this leadership role that will offer flexibility and support. The candidate should have a strong understanding of the entire golf course maintenance operation as well as the ability to “steer the ship”. Dates of employment will be approximately 5/1/23 – 11/1/23.
Targhee Village sits at the base of the Teton Mountain Range in Western Wyoming. Situated in Teton Valley, the golf course is 6 miles from Driggs, Idaho that serves as the hub of the area. With a population of approximately 10,000, Teton Valley is diversly inhabited by folks who love and appreciate all the west has to offer in recreation and unparalleled natural beauty. With Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks right over the hill, Teton Valley enjoys meeting visitors from all over the world looking to capture the grandeur of the west.
Targhee Village Golf Course is a 9-hole “Gem of the Valley”. Constructed in 1986, it is the oldest course in the area and is proud to be considered where golf begins in Teton Valley. The “Park Style” course boasts tree lined fairways and challenging greens. The golf course borders the Bridger-Teton National Forest with an abundance of scenery and wildlife. The golf season is short and jam packed with both out of towners who are on vacation looking for a fun activity as well as local residents that consider Targhee Village their go-to public golf course.
The GCS is expected to provide quality leadership to ensure the golf course conditions and playability are daily monitored and that all tasks and projects are executed in a responsible manner that keeps the golfers and their experience at the forefront.
Qualified candidates will be supported in providing an exceptional product in a hospitality environment. The GCS will report directly to the General Manager and is responsible for all agronomic practices. As part of the management team, the GCS will act as the leading presence of agronomy team which consists of 2-4 seasonal employees. This is a unique opportunity for someone that enjoys both being on a team as well as working solo.
The ideal candidate with be an individual with experience in Golf Course Maintenance and the ability to act as the leader of a dynamic team.
