Navopache Electric Cooperative is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Regular Part-Time General Office Clerk
LOCATION: St Johns, Arizona
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receive and post payments, balance cash drawer, make out collection sheet and daily bank deposits.
Maintain and balance Petty Cash drawer.
Initiate job orders, new services, connects, disconnects and reconnect orders.
Perform all general office work - i.e. filing, answering consumer correspondence, etc.
Obtain work order numbers for construction of electric lines and services.
Work with main office and meter readers as necessary on delinquent collections.
Prepare various reports, correspondence or information that may be required by Area Representative or main office.
Communicate with outside crew by radio or phone as required.
Serve as dispatcher when there is an outage in the area during office hours.
Perform all duties in accordance with Safety Rules and Policies as established by the Cooperative.
Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or GED equivalent. Live within close proximity to Area Office in which employed. Maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Live within close proximity to Area Office in which employed.
Have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license within 30 days of employment
PREVIOUS JOB EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS PREFERRED:
Mathematical ability and training or experience.
Knowledge and proven experience with computers/software programs.
Positive and proven customer service skill.
Proven experience in multi-tasking with positive outcomes.
Proven work experience with detail administrative tasks and a desire to assist others.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Ability to accurately type at 40 WPM with a minimum of errors on manual or electric typewriter.
Ability to operate a ten key adding machine proficiently.
Neat and legible handwriting.
Ability to copy, compare, and check numbers with speed and accuracy.
Possess good communications skills.
Ability to handle stressful situations with difficult individuals in a logical and calm manner.
Ability to skillfully handle interruptions on a recurring basis.
Ability to perform tasks on a PC as required.
HOURS OF OPERATION:
4/10s (Monday through Thursday 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM). This position requires an individual to be available on a scheduled basis and occasionally on a short notice. The normal scheduled number of work hours will be less than 20 hours per week.
RATE OF PAY: The rate of pay is $16.37 per hour.
BENEFITS: There are no benefits with this position.
