1. Demonstrates an understanding of degrees of uncertainty that applies to estimates as they are developed throughout the project life cycle. Uses this knowledge to identify assumptions and risks to develop contingency proposals for the project. 2. Ensures a suitable number of relevant experts are used to prepare estimates and that the resulting ranges of estimates are used to prepare an overall estimate, together with optimistic and pessimistic targets for each task. 3. Provides life cycle costing for various estimating components. 4. Ensures a robust auditing process is applied and maintained. 5. Selects and implements estimating database systems. 6. Develops and promotes estimating good practices. 7. Integrates estimating data into Cost and Schedule management processes and tools. 8. Manages cost control process by reviewing monthly payment application assessments prepared by junior team members, liaising with project managers to recommend contractor entitlements. 9. Uses dispute prevention/management/resolution procedures to manage payment requisitions, change orders, and contractual disputes. 10. Holds post-contract reviews with internal team to establish a lesson learned document and apply lessons. Conducts financial closeout with the accounting team, and procurement closeout with Project Managers.
