The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Summary
Individual will maintain good personal relationships with colleagues, Faculty, Students, vendors, manufacturers and the general public. Will be expected to participate in meetings, trainings, workshops and conferences as required. May coordinate and deliver technical in-service education to Junior or Apprentice Equipment Technicians as well as users.
Diagnose, Repair, maintain, calibrate and inspect a wide range of dental equipment including but not limited to: Dental Chairs, Xray (Pan/Ceph machines), intra oral cameras, digital sensors, sterilization systems, cam/cam machines, handpieces, Etc.
Maintain documentation on equipment, technical manuals, inspections, equipment repairs and failures.
Schedule and oversee third party repair as necessary.
Supervise and maintain adequate parts depot and small equipment inventory.
Manage work order system from assignment to close out.
Flexible working hours will be required, including evenings and weekends.
Related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor???s degree or equivalent in education and experience plus three years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiar with equipment brands included but not limited to, Adec, Pelton & Crane, Planmeca, Progeny, Gendex, Instrumentarium, Kavo, Dentsply, DentalEz, Nevins, and Bien Air.
Knowledge of equipment Software and Firmware.
Knowledge of Medical Gas systems and equipment supplying medical gas.
Knowledge of basic antimony and physiology as applied to use of dental equipment.
Knowledge of department policies, procedures and standards as well as general applications such as email, database management, spreadsheet and word processing software
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Knowledge of basic construction principles framing, plumbing, electrical.
Knowledge of basic networking, data cabling, low voltage cabling

Possible hazards include but not limited to, exposure to electrical shock, ionizing radiation, chemicals and chemical fumes, high-pressure air, and infectious disease.
