Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.
Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
8-12 years experience in related field preferred
Firm understanding of web application design, design patterns, and object-oriented design
Strong leadership skills, including the ability to facilitate technical discussions effectively and to deliver constructive feedback
Previous experience with hybrid development methodologies is preferred;
Experience in multiple web technologies including: JSP, SPA, CSS, Micro-Services/Web Services/Rest/SOAP and SQL
Experience with three or more Java concepts and patterns including: Java, Spring, Rabbit MQ, Caching (Redis), JMS, JUnit, Mockito, MVC
Working knowledge of multiple web and application tier technologies: Tomcat, Apache Http, Hybris Solr and open source packages
Experience with project DevOps and automation technologies: Jenkins, Maven/Gradle, Selenium, automated unit testing
Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with team members and management
Accountabilities
Supporting build projects including large-scale eCommerce implementations, such as SAP Commerce and Java/J2EE
Hands on contributions to the software architecture and design, development, and integration
Hands on, practical experience developing Microservices with Java/Spring
Participate in the development of conceptual and logical architectures
Design, develop and maintain application architectures that support business requirements
Resolve integration and interfacing issues between various back-end systems
Optimize application performance and scalability across on-premise and cloud
Conduct project risk identification and mitigation planning
