- Requires a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field of study.
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible related work experience
- Must be able to analyze and troubleshoot systems using test equipment such as meters, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers
- Experience with power electronics and feedback control systems
- Must be self-motivated, able to work under minimum supervision and be available for off-hours call-ins' as required
- Ability to work and learn details about various topologies of power electronics and associated feedback control systems
- Clear and concise written and oral communications skills
- Must be able to support a team with diverse skills and talents during all phases of operations, new construction, testing, repair, and upgrade of existing or new power supplies
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- A master's degree in electrical engineering with emphasis in power electronics
- Experience with programming Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
Environmental, Health & Safety Requirements:
- Ability to carry weights up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to work at heights and climb a ladder
- Ability to walk along sloped terrain and uneven surfaces
- May stand for long periods of time
- Oxygen Deficiency Hazard class 0 training certified
- Radiation worker training
- Lockout Tagout training
- Take all necessary training to perform work safely

- Requires a valid Driver's License
- This is a fully on-site position located at BNL
