General Requirements:
Associate's Degree in Theatre or related field required. Masters in Fine Arts preferred. Minimum of three years professional experience in Theatrical design and/or technology, scenic construction, operating stage lighting, and sound equipment or experience in a related field. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:
Works primarily with the Department of Dance to provide lighting and sound technical support for dance productions and other productions throughout CAM. Provides audio-visual support for the departments of Art, Mass Communication, School of Music, and Theatre and Musical Theatre.
Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only):
Serves as a member of the College of Arts and Media (CAM) production team. Supervises student crews and contribute collaboratively to all design and technical theatre elements throughout the college, including undergraduate, graduate, faculty, and guest artist productions. Maintains stock supplies and inventory for the performance and teaching spaces and provides instruction for safely using all equipment within those spaces. Works with the CAM Production Team to support production activities across the college as assigned. Supervises student crews, coordinates equipment maintenance, conducts equipment inventory, and schedules production meetings for the Department of Dance. Performs other duties as assigned.
