This position will have advanced knowledge of the operation of all building mechanical systems which includes pneumatic, electric, air conditioning, refrigeration and ventilating equipment. Should also be knowledgeable on compressors, blowers, burners, motors, fans and drive equipment, belts, bearing, etc. Should be able to consult with mechanical trades on required preventative maintenance needs and schedules.
This position will work with Campus Planning Design and Construction as part of the closeout process to ensure the receipt of all necessary paperwork, including warranties, records of equipment changes, and new equipment information. This position will ensure all operation and maintenance documents are uploaded to the appropriate building equipment records in the maintenance management system. They will create tags for equipment and oversee the placement of those tags. They will be responsible for uploading the new equipment data to the CMMS, removing any equipment from the system that has been retired, and updating any equipment records in the system as necessary.
This position will be responsible for the inventory of existing building assets and updating the CMMS so that the electronic inventory is correct.
