SSARCO of TX is seeking an experienced Architect to join our firm in Dallas, Texas. Our firm offers opportunities for professional growth through a wide variety of projects including luxury automotive, mixed-use, fitness and community centers, municipal, office, and restaurants. Responsibilities include:
Generating design solutions.
Work with the Project Director to develop and manage the project schedule and oversee and manage the documentation process to ensure timely and profitable completion of the project.
Prepare and coordinate all project deliverables.
Manage contract administration responsibilities.
Ensure accurate preparation of project construction documents and communication with and coordination of the preparation of documents with consultants, contractors, and team members.
Submit and obtain approval from authorities having jurisdiction.
Adhere to file system protocols.
Accountable for project technical quality and responsible also for maintaining and revising project budgets and schedules.
Document code review and compliance.
Manage client relations.
Communicate and coordinate with management, clients, consultants, and contractors related to daily business operations.
Visit with city officials and clients as necessary.
Job site visits to manage construction progress during the construction phase of the project.
Lead team meetings to discuss project issues, technical issues, and coordination.
Monitor and direct the design team to delegate project duties and ensure the feasibility of produced designs, including the architectural staff assigned and external consultants.
REQUIREMENTS:
Professional Degree in Architecture.
Licensed Architect or pursuing licensure.
3+ years of commercial architectural experience.
Experience preparing all stages of design documentation, performing construction administration, and consultant coordination.
Revit, Bluebeam (AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp, or other 3D Modeling preferred).
Ability to present confidently.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work well under pressure, manage and prioritize multiple projects and adjust work accordingly.
Positive attitude and goal oriented.
Supervisory experience preferred.
High degree of accuracy in work including adherence to Architectural standards, building codes, and generally accepted construction practices, construction documents, and BIM/CAD best practices.

During his tenure at GFF, Scott advanced to Principal in 2007 and led a studio that ranged from 8 – 16 members. Throughout his career, Scott has led, managed, and designed several projects, including office, automotive, fitness, restaurant, mixed-use, and multi-family.
