TITLE: Technical Director (Scene Shop Supervisor)
DEPARTMENT: Visual/Performing Arts
SUPERVISOR: Midaly Carrasquillo
SSTA APPROVER: Midaly Carrasquillo
SCHEDULE: 18.5 hours per week

General Statement of Duties/Responsibilities:
Oversee construction and build of scenic designs
Assist with load-in of scenic objects
Maintain scene design and shop space for the run of the productions
Maintain scenic tools for scene shop (A 165)
Attend and lead strike at the end of productions
Return Fuller Theatre (A 262) to class setting after production weekends
Maintain an inclusive work environment

Other:
Some weekend work required before, during, and after production weekend

Requirements:

Required Qualifications
The ability to lift 40#
BA in Theatre with experience in scenic construction or scenic design
Experience managing small crews
Experience in higher education or K-12 theatre production

Preferred Qualifications
MA or MFA in Theatre with experience in scenic construction or scenic design
2-3 years of experience as Technical Director
Ability to teach Stage Management
