This manager handles special or more complex client requests across regions, business units, manage and pilot design prototype, is a power Revit user that carry an elevated risk or weight for the client. Principle Responsibilities
This role is typically the main point of contact for design on their assigned account(s). They create and implement design standards and guidelines, manage prototype documents, create and implementing a framework of communication for design changes while providing management of and support of assigned Project Designers or Project Design Managers.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an CIDA accredited institution in a related discipline or field of study (i.e. Architecture, Interior Design, Corporate Real Estate, Facilities, Project or Construction Management, etc.) required, OR Bachelor's degree in Other Major than above plus Interior Design Certification, Degree or Diploma.
10+ years experience in a corporate real estate environment.
Manages the prototype documents for their assigned accounts. This includes creating and maintaining the prototype documents in Revit, as well as coordinating with stakeholders to ensure that they are kept up-to-date.
Develops and maintains the design standards and guidelines for their assigned accounts. These standards and guidelines ensure that all design work is consistent and meets the company's brand identity.
Able to quality control drawings utilizing IBC and ADA.
Create and manage Revit templates and families. Bonus if they have knowledge in Dynamo.
Serve as the main point of contact for assigned account(s) for all design-related questions. They work with stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements, and then develop and implement design solutions that meet those needs.
Create and implement a framework for communicating design changes to stakeholders. This framework ensures that changes are communicated in a clear, concise and timely way.
Provides supervision/leadership to teams with escalation issues that arise regarding individual projects
Oversees, manages and helps to direct all third-party relationships with architects, engineers, etc.
Interfaces with Client to define processes for design team members
Reports and presents trends, timelines, and escalations to Account Director
Generates monthly metrics reports for SLA's and KPI's identified within the contract
Provide on-going training to team, related to space planning & design
