What Software & Information Platforms contributes to Cardinal Health Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.
Software & Information Platforms manages the technical configuration, design, administration, development, implementation and support of application and information frameworks that the organization's application solutions utilize. This job family partners with Application Development & Maintenance teams and other Information Technology function teams to identify ehancements for platforms and long-term capabilities.
Responsibilities
Serve as technical lead for medium-sized platform construction efforts
Plan out maintenance work and patch cycle for multiple platforms
Work with onshore and offshore team members to coordinate run execution and build efforts
Ensure application monitoring systems are designed to provide necessary application performance and dashboard reports.
Provide implementation and support for DevOps/Continuous Integration
Experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment methodologies
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment under deadlines in a changing environment.
Demonstrates and applies technical (not functional) knowledge of software development frameworks and business process configuration systems. Examples include (not limited to) java application servers, integration and information systems, ERP systems, business rules engines, business process management and .et development frameworks.
Leverages fluency in technical languages, operating systems, application programming interfaces,> and troubleshooting.
Demonstrates basic knowledge of infrastructure subcomponents and interoperability including (but not limited to) SAN, network (application routing) and compute platforms.
Demonstrates knowledge of system information dependencies and end to end application transaction competency.
Maintains platform or system health and availability requirements including HADR testing.
Resolves support issues involving production systems.
Monitors and manages proactive maintenance to application platform environments
Documents and manages SOPs for software and information platform systems.
Interfaces with business solution teams and partners on operational platform events as well as solution design needs.
Qualifications
4-8 years of experience preferred
Experience/competency in multiple Software/Information platform technology domains preferred
Experience with IBM Middleware Platforms including ODM, BPM and Websphere
Proficiency in deploying new environments within these platforms and can perform troubleshooting and support testing during deployment activities
Experience in Java/J2EE, JavaScript, Node. JSON, REST API/SOAP UI/Web Services/APIs, XSL, XSLT, YAML development
Experience with DevOps activities in an Agile development framework
Experience with Implementing API management using Apigee
Experience in Java/J2EE, JavaScript, Node. JSON, REST API/SOAP UI/Web Services/APIs, XSL, XSLT, YAML development
Experience in troubleshooting APIs and policies in Apigee and supporting the entire life cycle a plus
Understanding of Cloud Native application architectures and platforms
Ability to quickly learn new and legacy technologies
WebSphere platform operator experience
Experience with Commerce and Portal a plus
Apache Tomcat platform operator experience a plus
WebLogic platform operator experience a plus
Experience in Cloud infrastructure as a service (GCP preferable)
Understanding of network ingress and egress patterns
Knowledge of SOA design and implementation and system integration using SOA
