Initial Priorities:
Learn and understand the culture of Blind Brook including agronomic, daily operations and course maintenance practices

Preferred Qualifications:
1-2 years of golf course maintenance experience
Certificate, Associates or Bachelor’s degree in turfgrass science or agronomy related field
Must obtain New York State Pesticide License within 90 days of hire
The right individual will carry high expectations for themselves and the golf course at all times.
Ability to work 60-65 hours on average in season, 40-45 in the winter months
Salary and Benefits:
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience (DOE $80,000-$85,000 salary)

Key Responsibilities of Position:
Apply pesticides/fertilizers and calibrate sprayers/spreaders.
Maintain proper and complete application records and storage of materials.
Train and oversee employees assigned in assisting with spray applications.
Operate or learn to operate and train staff on golf course and grounds maintenance equipment.
Measure and maintain proper moisture levels in playing surfaces, assist with irrigation installation and repairs.
Cooperative management and oversight in regards to course maintenance, landscape maintenance, course construction projects
