ASSISTANT PROGRAM MANAGER, CAPITAL RENEWAL, Facilities-Campus Construction-Project Management, to lead, mentor, and manage staff within the Capital Renewal Projects team. Will motivate, develop, and recognize staff; manage internal and external resources; provide oversight and coordination with other planned and/or ongoing construction projects and building programs to maximize opportunities; contribute to providing the highest level of service to MIT's departments, labs, and centers that request projects on campus, undertaking new initiatives as they evolve; and lead and direct through collaboration, all projects including early phase planning, design, construction, occupancy, and turnover.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management; at least seven years of relevant experience; experience managing a team and leading projects, programs, or functions; broad, in-depth understanding of principles and theories of one or more related professional disciplines; excellent project management, customer service, analytical, and written and oral communication skills; comfort operating both strategically and tactically; experience leading in a collaborative and team-oriented environment; demonstrated program management experience; and comprehensive understanding of both the service and stewardship mission of a facilities organization.
