As the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our company's operations. Your role will involve strategic planning, process improvement, and senior leadership to ensure the success and growth of our organization.

Key duties include:

- Leading and managing a team of operational staff

- Developing and implementing operational strategies and goals

- Identifying areas for process improvement and implementing changes to increase efficiency

- Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth operations and effective communication

- Directs all activities of design, construction, operation and maintenance of outside plan and makes sure that all responsibilities, authorities and relationships are understood, performed and delegated to assigned personnel

- Managing budgets, resources, and timelines for various projects

- Negotiating contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other business partners - Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards

- Monitors employees work style to ensure they are working safely in every situation

- Crew visits to ensure safe work practices and all rules and regulations are being followed

- Overseeing the day to day work of the Engineering Department

- Continuing education and training to stay up to date on trends in the industry

- Consistent interaction with the membership, developing relationships, helping to educate and de-escalate and issues that arise

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

- Proven experience in operations management or a similar leadership role in the electrical distribution field

- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team

- Excellent negotiation skills to effectively manage relationships with suppliers and vendors

- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and project management

- Proficiency in analyzing data and making data-driven decisions

- Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively

- Strong business acumen with a focus on business development and growth opportunities

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously

- Flexibility in work schedule, being available for after hours calls as needed.
