North Alabama construction materials supplier has immediate opening for an Operations Manager / estimator position.

We work with contractors in Northern Alabama and Southern Middle Tennessee. We stock products including HDPE pipe and fittings, HP Storm pipe, corrugated metal pipe, reinforced concrete pipe, geotextiles, geogrids, and erosion control.

Our goal is to have the products that contractors need ready and available so their jobs can get completed on time and within budget.

Inside Sales Details and Operations Manager

Manage the operations of the pipe and other site work materials Yard in Cullman, AL. Will be responsible for the hiring and management of the Delivery person and Yard Assistant. 

• Accurately create invoices and sales receipts
• Greet customers and create rapport
• Process payments
• Understand and demonstrate the product or service to the customer
• Answering inbound phone calls
• Staying informed regarding product pricing and availability
• Maintain and improve quality results by following standards, policies and procedures
• Assisting employees with loading and other responsibilities
• Helping maintain and organize material on the yard and inside warehouse
• Safely load walk-in customers
• Maintain Cleanliness and order throughout office space and yard
• Assist in scheduling of deliveries and Customer Pick Ups

Estimating Details

• Analyzing documents, blueprints and plans to gain an overall understanding of a project
• Determining specifications of items intending to quote
• Accurately calculate quantities of specified materials
• Prepare estimates of materials using preset formulas in an Excel Spreadsheet
• Ability to cross reference and value engineer materials within a project
• Developing and maintaining relationships with company vendors and contractors
• Manage and follow up with status of previously quoted projects
