We are currently seeking a Safety and Loss Control Coordinator in Sundance, WY.

The role of a Safety and Loss Control Coordinator is responsible for developing and maintaining safety programs to protect employees, members, the public, and property assets of the cooperative. The coordinator ensures compliance with regulations, manages training, steers the apprenticeship program, and oversees safety throughout the organization.

   KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS

1. Complete knowledge of RUS specification or other electrical industry specification and work rules as they relate to line personnel and public safety.
2. Proven skill in working with co-workers and maintaining working relations between departments
3. Must have proven ability to conduct public speaking and facilitate
4. Skill in performing above duties with the use of appropriate computer and general office equipment
5. Must have the ability to organize work and meet
6. Solid interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization required.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1. Associate Degree with emphasis in Industrial Safety or equivalent specialized training or experience in safe practices associated with power line construction, maintenance, and College education and/or CLCP certification preferred, but not required at time of hire, but must be completed within 5 years.
2. Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in actual line construction and maintenance or five (5) years’ experience in power line safety.
3. Journeyman Lineman’s qualifications.
