Position overview:
Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club is looking for highly motivated individuals to fill Internship/ Assistant in Training positions for the 2026 season. These positions will play an integral role in daily maintenance and will assist in providing quality playing conditions for the membership and their guests.

- Irrigation System: 2- wire Toro Lynx with HDPE piping (installed in 2019)
- Equipment: Toro, Baroness, and John Deere. All equipment purchased annually within capital equipment budget
- Be involved in current and future golf course construction and maintenance projects
Position responsibilities:
- Daily mowing of all playing surfaces with walk-behind units and riding units
- Proper water management (hand watering, using irrigation heads, etc.)
- Fertilizer and chemical applications (proper calibration and techniques)
- Proper course set up (daily hole locations, tee locations and detail work)
- Cultural practices (topdressing, aerification, moisture management, etc.)
- Irrigation maintenance (irrigation head fixes, pipe repairs, locating/troubleshooting wiring issues)
- Learning how to manage high level turf in a transition zone growing environment
- Assist in planning and performing in-house golf course construction projects (renovate tees, cart trails, gabions, tree planting)
- Communicate with the crew, management and members
- Carry oneself with professionalism in both appearance and demeanor
- Understand the importance of networking, career preparation, and record keeping
