Position Summary
The Assistant Superintendent will play a vital role in the success of the Golf Course Maintenance Operations at Bridgesong. This individual will assist in planning, coordinating, and executing all agronomic and operational practices required to successfully grow-in and maintain a championship golf course.
The position reports directly to the Golf Course Superintendent and works closely with the Senior Assistant Superintendent to consistently provide exceptional playing conditions.
This position provides the opportunity to gain meaningful experience during the construction and grow-in of a new golf course while helping build the maintenance operation that will support the club for years to come.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Superintendent and Senior Assistant with daily golf course maintenance operations
- Perform and oversee routine golf course maintenance tasks
- Collaborate with management to plan and schedule maintenance activities for the team
- Utilize maintenance software to schedule work, track labor inputs, and manage operational data
- Supervise and train maintenance staff on daily assignments and special projects while maintaining high quality standards
- Assist with the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program, including pesticide and fertilizer applications and required recordkeeping
- Participate in greens management programs, including moisture management and data collection
- Support irrigation system monitoring, troubleshooting, and repairs
- Monitor turf health and scout for pests, disease, and weeds
- Assist in executing agronomic programs that support optimal turf performance
- Serve as a liaison between management and the maintenance team to ensure clear communication and efficient workflow

Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform duties requiring walking, standing, sitting, lifting equipment, and operating machinery

- Ability to operate maintenance equipment safely and effectively
- Sound decision-making abilities in dynamic operational environments
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Turfgrass Management, Plant Science, or related field preferred
- Turfgrass certificates or Associate’s Degrees will be considered
- At least 2 years of experience in a high-quality golf maintenance operation preferred
- Recent graduates with strong internship, apprenticeship, or AIT program experience will be considered
- Experience with new golf course construction, irrigation installation, or grow-in operations is highly valued, though not required
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual Salary: $50,000 – $60,000 (based on experience)
