GVEA is an electric cooperative that maintains 3,292 miles of transmission and distribution lines, 40 substations, and 9 generating facilities. YOUR ROLE AS A PROJECT MANAGER
As a Project Manager at Golden Valley Electric Association, you will oversee and deliver large-scale capital projects that support power generation, transmission, distribution, and substation systems. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, budgeting, scheduling, and executing projects while ensuring alignment with organizational goals. You will coordinate closely with internal teams, contractors, and engineers, as well as external stakeholders, to drive project success while reviewing vendor proposals, contracts, and construction bids.
You will play a key role in maintaining project performance by monitoring costs, timelines, and quality standards, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and construction practices. Additionally, you will support outage coordination, provide technical guidance, and help resolve operational challenges related to power systems. Your work will also involve leading quality assurance efforts, maintaining accurate project documentation, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within project management processes.

Golden Valley Electric Association is a member-owned electric cooperative that has been serving Interior Alaska residents since 1946.
